Unpin

Right-click on the blue Windows Edge browser icon and "unpin".

Also unpin the Windows Store shortcut...

Pin

The programs you'll pin to the taskbar depend on which course you're in:

  • Computers 6: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Computers 7: Word, PowerPoint, Paint
  • Computers 8: Photoshop 

To open a program, you can search for it on the taskbar on the left...

Word

Search for "word" and choose "Word 2016".

You don't have to select anything for this - you can just right-click on the icon and "pin". If you want to open, then select  "Blank Document"...

Or you can just right-click on the program in the search list and "Pin to taskbar".

PowerPoint

Search for "power" and select "PowerPoint 2016"...

Right-click on the taskbar icon and "Pin". If you want to open the program, just select "Blank Presentation" for now. Once you've pinned, it you can close it.

Excel (Computers 6 only)

If you're in Computers 6, you'll want to pin Excel as well. Search for 'exc' and it should pop up...

Then right-click and "Pin to taskbar".

Paint (Computers 7 only)

If you're in Computers 7, you'll want to also pin Paint. Search & open it...

Then right-click and "Pin"...

All The Right Type

Double-click on the ATRT desktop icon to open the program...

Right-click on the icon on the taskbar and "pin"...
